Cutting reference

Plane offsets are geometric distances from the model origin, not machine depth settings. Transfer alignment and cutting sequence require a cutter's review.

LUMIFACET FIELD GUIDE

Start with the geometry.

  1. Choose a material and shape. Enter dimensions in millimeters.
  2. Adjust pavilion, crown and table. The view and exported meshes share the same facet planes.
  3. Match the index gear to the facet count. A count must divide the gear evenly.
  4. Save a version. Reopen it below, or restore an earlier version without erasing later history.
  5. Download a project backup. Use mesh and cutting exports for independent review.

What the critical angle means

The displayed value uses arcsin(1 / refractive index), for a simplified material-to-air interface. It is an incidence angle relative to a surface normal, not a guaranteed safe pavilion angle. Real rays, illumination, dispersion and crystal orientation matter.

What is still under development

Ray tracing, ASET analysis, anisotropic optics, meet-point editing, ASC/GCS interoperability, concave facets, jewelry settings, production cloud hosting, commercial subscriptions and administration. None is represented by a simulated success badge.

Material values are illustrative single-value inputs, not measured certificates. Local projects do not migrate or overwrite data from the existing website.
